In the United States, dolphins is used for children with special needs. Methods of healing with animals has been developed by DR. David Nathanson, Ph.D., psychologist who has interested with world dolphin more than 30 years.
DR. Nathanson observe and examine the human and dolphins interaction each other. He initially stimulate children who have down syndrome or mental backwardness by inviting them to play and swim with dolphins.
As the result, children are able to receive stimulation and begin to give attention. In its development, dolphins do not only cater for children down syndrome or autis course, also for adults who experience mental disturbances and nervous sensor.
Why dolphins? Dolphins can be used as therapy because they are capable of interacting with humans. When interacting with the dolphins, the human hormone endorfin increased. This create a balance between left and right brain. Ultrasonic waves, the stimulation sounds or sonar issued dolphins, perfectly capable received by men.
